It seems that sometimes we are so separated in this country then when a tragedy hits , we all realize then that we are much more "together" than we thought. It's times like this that our hearts are one heart, sharing the fear, the pain, the sorrow, the pride, the gratitude. Like many, I have been glued to tv or radio since this all happened. My heart reaches out to those who have been directly impacted by losing someone in this terrible tragedy. My heart reaches out to those who have helped in any way with the recovery of the victims. We won't be pulled apart. This only makes us stronger as human beings-willing to love one another no matter what our differences. That proves that who done this is not human...can't be and do this to another human being. That's what makes America America! And I am proud...proud as hell to be American!

I fully agree with your view on this matter Barb. The phrase "United We Stand" should have new meaning for us all after last week's events. For the first time that I have been alive, I have actually seen the world unite in a way I could never have dreamed of. It is terrible that such an event should have to be the catalyst to this, but I am proud of America and all of the other nations for such a quick and noble response in the rescue efforts. God bless us all.

Jim Talbot,
Proud to be an American
