One of my favorite people is a co-worker at Coach. She has been married for 48 years, worked at Coach for 15 and is one of the sweetest and most loving people ever...she is our "store mom". Her daughter Shannon lost her husband 2 years ago today and Mitzi had to be the one to tell her due to the time difference from east to west coast. They had been childhood sweethearts and had been together for half of their lives.
All we can do is take strength from the lives of those we have lost and be thankful that we had the time we did with them. It doesn't lessen the pain, but to celebrate his life rather than mourn the loss made it easier for them to go on.

CNN's Memorial to him
TO ALL WHO GAVE IT ALL. WE THANK YOU AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
Let us not forget the innocent people who died in Afghanistan, and those innocent people who will shortly die in Iraq, for they are also victims of the attrocities of September 11th.
